Welcome To Argos Dog Training.

     Look around this website. See what you see. What do you notice? The training of dogs, and helping people communicate with dogs are my passions. Argos is different, and the difference is that I am primarily concerned with relationships. The relationships between you and your dog, between you and your dog trainer, and the relationship between your dog trainer and your dog. When these relationships are balanced the behavior of your dog becomes the behavior that you desire, and that leads to a better life for you and your dog.

The Argos Way.

     In September of 2002, Nil Berkman started her pet care service. At the time, Nil was an au pair. It was suggested to Nil that she should help out by walking her host family’s dog, and so she did.

     Soon after, other people started asking Nil to walk their dogs as well. Even during those very early stages, Nil was concerned with service and how her actions affected communities around her. Her service grew by itself. News of her service spread by word of mouth, from family to family. Nil never put out a flier or placed an advertisement. She never needed to use binding contracts of any kind. She let the joy in her work, her awareness of her community’s needs, and her service speak for her. So it went until 2008, when Nil was joined in business by her husband, Martin Wright.

     Together, they created Argos Pet Care Specialists. Martin had the experience of walking with Nil from the beginning as a guest walker. He took well to walking dogs and soon found that he was endlessly curious about dog behavior. They started studying the ways of the dog together. So it went, and Argos grew stronger.
      Nil and Martin have become pretty busy in the dog community. Thanks to our community of dog owners, Argos continues to grow.
